Vegan Travels: London, Restaurants and Groceries

Ever since becoming vegetarian in July -16 and then fully vegan in October, I have found it very exciting to look for vegan options in other countires. Since then I have travelled to Paris, Nice and London. I was able to spend a long weekend in London and just returned couple of days ago so I will begin my vegan travels food series from there as it is freshly on my mind. Vegan Peanut butter Cheesecake

I recently posted a vegan peanut butter cheesecake on my instagram. I used a recipe I found from a finnish blog Kamomillan Konditoria. A few requested to have the recipe translated to english so here comes. Avocado Egg Butter

A very traditional dish here in Finland is a Karelian Pie, often served with something roughly translated as ‘egg butter‘. Basically a butter mixed with boiled eggs. However if you wish to eat dairy free that is off limits. My mom recently discovered a recipe where somebody had substituted the butter with avocado. (I would credit the person if I just knew but I don’t!) If you have never even had egg butter, this is something worth trying out. Berry Ginger Smoothie

A fresh smoothie to fight the flu that tastes yummy! I recently collaborated with the Ginger People who offer a wide range of ginger products (all organic!). I created my own smoothie recipe using their products. The magic ingredient here is the Ginger Juice which adjusts the flavour of your smoothie. Depending how strong you want it to be, just add more.
